Alex Gurchinoff Schlebach, PCP, is an experienced professional in emergency management and public relations. Currently serving as the Assistant National Emergency Manager and Continuity Coordinator for the U.S. Forest Service since January 2022, Alex has prior experience as an Emergency Management Specialist with the US Army Corps of Engineers, where responsibilities included managing natural disaster programs and serving as an EOC Coordinator. Alex's background also includes intern positions at NASA and as a Wounded Warrior Intern. A former Nuclear Electrician's Mate 2nd Class in the US Navy, Alex has developed a strong foundation in crisis and emergency management, supported by advanced degrees from Regent University and Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies, as well as a Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University.
