Kim Carstensen

Kim Carstensen has extensive experience in leadership roles within environmental organizations. Currently serving as Special Envoy at the Director's Office for the Forest Stewardship Council since October 2012, Kim previously held the position of Director General. Prior to this, Kim owned Fairgreensolutions from September 2011 to October 2012. Kim's background includes leadership of the Global Climate Initiative at WWF International from February 2008 to July 2010 and serving as CEO, Conservation Director, and Programme Officer at WWF Denmark from February 1989 to February 2008. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Cultural Sociology from the University of Copenhagen, which was obtained between 1979 and 1989, with earlier studies at the same institution from 1976 to 1979.
