Rose Thuo

Rose T. currently serves as the Global Director of Communications at the Forest Stewardship Council, a position held since July 2023. Previously, Rose acted as the Gender & Climate Champion for UN Climate Change from July 2021 to August 2023, focusing on the intersection of gender and climate issues. From April 2016 to August 2023, Rose was the Head of Communications and Marketing for Africa at WWF International, overseeing communications across 14 countries and leading a team of 24 communicators. Additional experience includes roles as Communications and Media Advisor at Cardno Emerging Markets, Communications and Fundraising Manager at AMREF Health Africa, and Communication Manager for the Partnership for an HIV-Free Generation at PATH. Rose holds a Master's in Professional Studies in Public Policy & Strategic Communications from The George Washington University and several other degrees in mass communications, business, and public relations from various institutions.
