Juan Carlos Gonzalez Aybar

Juan Carlos Gonzalez Aybar is the Founder and CEO of Fronterra, a project development company focused on nature-based solutions in Latin America. Since March 2022, Juan Carlos has served as a Forest Trends Fellow, engaging leaders to address climate challenges. Additionally, as Lead Editor for The International Climate Tribune since January 2024, Juan Carlos interviews key figures in climate and biodiversity. Previously, Juan Carlos co-founded and managed The SHARED WOOD COMPANY, worked as a Senior Project Manager at TotalEnergies, and held directorial roles at INOCAS and Pecsa. Education includes advanced degrees in Sustainable Development, International Environmental Management, and Social Sciences from esteemed institutions across Europe and Peru.
