Joseph Young is an experienced professional with a career spanning over 15 years. Joseph began their career as a Board Member for the Rady Alumni Association in 2009, followed by a Director of Marketing role at PixelActive in 2008. In 2005, they volunteered as a Conference Associate for the Game Developers Conference.

In 2010, Joseph founded Syte Gear and served as CEO, designing, sourcing, testing, and launching the Syte Shirt interactive Apple iPad shirt in 3 weeks. Joseph also expanded the Syte Shirt portfolio to support a broad range of devices and use cases, and developed a marketing plan that received coverage by Gizmodo, Engadget, and other major tech blogs.

In 2013, Joseph joined Disney Interactive as a Senior Technical Product Manager, responsible for porting Club Penguin from web to mobile. Joseph then worked at HERE, a Nokia company (formerly NAVTEQ) as a Product Manager and Lead System Analyst from 2010 to 2015.

In 2015, Joseph joined Jam City as a Game Director and Director of Product Management. Joseph was responsible for managing product managers and data analysts, developing and implementing studio initiatives, and leading product management of new titles. Joseph also managed the product feature execution, AB Test and multivariate testing, and data analysis for Cookie Jam and Cookie Jam Blast.

Joseph then worked at Events.com as a Director of Product Development in 2015. In 2020, they joined MobilityWare as a Senior Director of Product Management and Business Owner of the Card Suite. Joseph was responsible for the production of all mobile games developed within the card suite, and for defining the strategy, developing the product roadmap, projecting the revenue targets, and defining the KPI goals for each title in the suite.

Joseph currently holds the position of General Manager of Live Games at ForeVR Games, a role they have held since 2022.

Joseph Young began their educational journey at Poway High School, graduating in 1997. Joseph then attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they studied Cognitive Science, from 1997 to 2000. Following this, they enrolled at San Diego Mesa College, where they earned an Associate of Science (AS) in Mathematics from 1999 to 2001. After this, they attended San Jose State University, where they earned a BS in Computer Science from 2002 to 2004. Lastly, they attended the University of California, San Diego - Rady School of Management, where they earned an MBA in Marketing, Business Development, and Entrepreneurship from 2007 to 2009.
