Forgotten Harvest was formed in 1990 to fight two problems: hunger and waste. Forgotten Harvest “rescued” and distributed 40 million pounds of food last year by collecting surplus prepared and perishable food from 800 sources, including grocery stores, fruit and vegetable markets, restaurants, caterers, dairies, farmers, wholesale food distributors and other Health Department-approved sources. 

This donated food, which would otherwise go to waste, is delivered free-of-charge to more than 200 emergency food providers in the Metro Detroit area.

Adrian Lewis

The Client Services Team at Forgotten Harvest is responsible for managing relationships with the emergency food providers in the Metro Detroit area. They ensure that these partners receive timely and effective support, address any issues or concerns, and coordinate the distribution logistics of the rescued food. The team consists of Customer Service Specialists, Client Specialists, and the Director of Client Services, all working collaboratively to optimize service delivery and maintain strong community partnerships.
