Doreen Grech

VP, External Scientific Innovation at FORMA Therapeutics

Doreen joined Forma as vice president, external scientific innovation in April 2022. She has more than 20 years of experience in business development, external partnering, and venture capital, working with research, development and commercial stage assets and programs, across a range of therapeutic areas and modalities. Most recently Doreen was VP, business development at AskBio, a gene therapy company within the Bayer Pharmaceuticals Group. Prior to AskBio, Doreen was a mentor-in-residence with Duke University’s Office of Licensing and Ventures. She spent nine years at UCB Pharma in various business development, partnering and alliance management roles in the global organization. Earlier in her career, Doreen was a principal at Pappas Ventures, a life sciences venture capital firm. Doreen received a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from University of California, Santa Barbara, a Master of Science in biology from Texas A&M University and a Ph.D. in pharmacology & toxicology from Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University. She completed postdoctoral studies at Harvard Medical School and a fellowship at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
