Xin Yu (Dennis) Tan has worked in a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2015. In 2015, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher in the Robotics Learning Lab, where they implemented a novel robotics control algorithm. In 2016, they were an Artificial Intelligence Intern at Stottler Henke Associates, where they worked on algorithms to help detect and classify lethal objects flying through space. In 2017, they worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Boxbot, where they worked on developing software for an early-stage start-up in the last-mile autonomous delivery sector. Currently, they are a Research Engineer at Forma - Try It On, where they work on algorithms that incorporate the latest computer vision research to composite and harmonize images of outfits with user-submitted photos.

Xin Yu (Dennis) Tan attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2014 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
