Emma Catlin

Emma Catlin has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2010, they started their career as a Sales Associate at Gabrielle's Originals, where they worked until 2012. In 2013, they interned as a Summer Marketing Intern at the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology. From 2015 to 2018, Emma worked in the Brown University Computer Science Department, first as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for various courses and then as a Head Teaching Assistant for Logic for Systems. During this time, they focused on helping students understand programming concepts, grading projects, and managing a team of TA's. In 2015 and 2016, they interned as a Software Engineering Intern at Change.org and Pure Storage, respectively. Emma then joined Pinterest in 2017 as a Software Engineering Intern before transitioning to a full-time role as a Software Engineer, where they worked until 2022. Emma recently became the Head of Engineering at Formally in April 2023.

Emma Catlin attended Sacred Heart Preparatory from 2010 to 2014. After completing their secondary education, they enrolled at Brown University in 2014 and graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science and Literary Arts.
