Emilio Passi

Emilio Passi has over two decades of experience in design, product development, and prototyping. In 1998, they began their career as a Software Engineering Intern at NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, where they designed and developed user interfaces for aviation diagnostics and information systems. In 2000, they joined Macromedia, Inc. as a Product Designer and shipped releases for flagship web design products Dreamweaver and Flash. In 2005, they joined Adobe as a Designer for adobe.com and a Product Designer for Adobe Creative Suite, where they led the design for the Macromedia Flash integration and pioneered no-code tools for interactive media design. In 2010, they became a Senior Product Designer at Nokia, and in 2011, they joined Razorfish as a Principal Designer, where they transitioned the company and its clients to responsive design systems. In 2014, they joined Punchcut as the Director of Design Technology, where they established the company's first Design Technology practice and led the most technically gifted designers to develop internal tools, realize ideas through captivating prototypes, and build a community for people who create through code. In 2022, they joined Formant as the Design Director.

Emilio Passi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Emilio also has taken courses in Graphic Design from UC Berkeley Extension.
