Alexander Bier

Alexander Bier joined Formel D in 2015 as Corporate Counsel, moving to Head of Legal for the Group, before taking on the responsibility as Global Director of Legal in 2016.

Alexander began his career as an in-house lawyer in 2005, and he has counselled within sectors as diverse as publishing, shipbuilding, e-commerce, cloud computing and automotive.

His wide legal expertise covers international corporate law, international business and contract law, consumer protection law, data-privacy law, and corporate governance and compliance. In addition, his knowledge across corporate law includes post-merger integration, and boards-and-committees advisory work.

Following professional training as a banker, Alexander graduated from the University of Bonn with a degree in law and political science. He completed legal training at the Higher Regional Court of Cologne, and holds a Master’s degree in business law from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland (UK).
