Head of Product Marketing at Formic

Alex Koepsel is the head of product marketing at Formic. Before joining Formic, they were a sales manager at Zivid, where they supported automation solutions and customers with the best 3D color vision for robots. Prior to that, Alex was the IoT Segment Marketing Manager at Silicon Labs, where they managed the business strategy, marketing activities, content, and roadmap plan for rapidly growing $30M/yr market segment in the IoT Business Unit.

Alex is also the founder of Songrize, a personalized music discovery platform for audiophiles. Alex founded the company in 2014 and ran it until 2016. Prior to that, they worked as an electrical engineer and systems architect for various military and defense systems at Lockheed Martin from 2012 to 2015. Alex started their career at Lockheed Martin as a student tech in digital hardware design from 2008 to 2011.

Alex Koepsel completed their undergraduate studies at Marquette University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. They then went on to complete a Master of Business Administration at Rollins College, with a focus in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies.

Alex Koepsel reports to Saman Farid, Co-Founder & CEO. They work with Karl Barry - Head of Robotics Monitoring and Maintenance, Misa Ilkhechi - Co-Founder & VP, Sales, and Malcolm Kerr - Head of Growth Marketing & GTM Strategy.
