Project Engineer at Formosa Plastics

Rogelio Flores has gained significant work experience in various roles and industries. Rogelio started their career in 2012 as a Building Engineer at Dillard's Inc., where they maintained electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. Rogelio also installed and troubleshooted low voltage systems and retrofitted plumbing systems. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Supervisor Laundry Engineer II at Remington Hotels, where they advanced troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC control systems. Rogelio also trained new employees and created PM schedules for equipment upkeep. In 2018, they joined Clegg Industries, Inc. as a Welder/Fabricator and collaborated with senior team members to design and create structures. Rogelio also developed an understanding of welding techniques and designed tools for improved efficiency. In 2019, Rogelio worked at Alamo Steel as a Maintenance Mechanic, conducting advanced diagnostics and inspections as part of a PM program. Rogelio reviewed schematics and optimized equipment settings. Additionally, from 2019 to 2022, they served as an Industrial Maintenance Electrician at Turner Industries, applying functional knowledge and troubleshooting abilities to isolate and diagnose faults. Rogelio communicated and collaborated with other departments for completing shutdowns and conducted preventative maintenance on electrical equipment. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Testengeer Engineering as a Project Engineer, and in 2023, they continued their project engineering role at Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A.

Rogelio Flores completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2009-2010, focusing on Mechanical Engineering.
