Matthew MacPartlin

Matthew MacPartlin is a highly experienced medical professional in motorsport, currently serving as a medical delegate with the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) since 2015 and as a medical delegate for the Shannon's Speed Series since July 2023. With a background as an intensive care staff specialist at Wollongong Hospital since 2010, Matthew has also held various roles as a motor sport physician at major events including Formula 1, World Rally Championship, and Australian Supercars. Additional responsibilities include serving as Deputy Chief Medical Officer for the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix and Rally Australia, as well as founding and editing Rollcage Medic, a resource for medical professionals in motorsport. Educational qualifications include degrees from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland, and the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine, alongside a fellowship from the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand.
