Kelly Juntunen

Kelly Juntunen is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in the education sector. Currently serving as the Director of Communications for Forney Independent School District since July 2023, Kelly previously spent 15 years at Allen ISD as a Communications Coordinator, where responsibilities included web content management, social media, project management, photography, videography, writing, editing, and graphic design. In addition to communications roles, Kelly has experience as a journalism teacher, advising student publications, and coaching UIL journalism. Earlier career roles included Public Information Specialist at Waco Tribune-Herald and various positions at Barnes & Noble, Inc., and Baylor University. Kelly holds multiple degrees, including a Master's in Journalism focused on school public relations from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor's in Journalism from Baylor University, where Valedictorian honors were received at La Vega High School.
