Project Engineer at Foro Energy

Rafael Morales has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Rafael started their career with Baker Hughes in 2006 as a Wireline Maintenance Engineer, responsible for performing maintenance on wireline tools and surface equipment. Rafael then progressed to the role of Wireline Field Engineer, where they supervised wireline operations at customer well sites and led both open hole and cased hole operations. Rafael later became a General Field Engineer, overseeing logging and completions services at well sites. In 2017, they were promoted to Team Lead for Wireline Operations Offshore Deepwater, where they supervised wireline operations on Gulf of Mexico platforms and collaborated with scientific and technical personnel to resolve testing problems. In 2022, Rafael joined Foro Energy as a Project Engineer, leading engineering projects focused on researching and developing new products related to high-power beam lasers for the oil and gas and mining industries. Rafael is responsible for evaluating new technologies, improving product performance and efficiency, and enhancing control and automation of surface and downhole equipment.

Rafael Morales has a diverse education background in engineering and business applications. Rafael completed a Post Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Business Applications from the Texas McCombs School of Business in the year 2022. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering specializing in Process Control Systems at the Universidad Nacional Experimental Politécnica de la Fuerza Armada from 2001 to 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Rafael Morales has also obtained a certification in Scientific Computing with Python from freeCodeCamp in August 2022.
