Jan Lønsetteig

Jan Lønsetteig has over 30 years of work experience in software engineering and technology development. Jan is currently serving as the Principal Software Engineer at Forsta, starting in April 2021. Previously, Jan worked at Confirmit for 15 years, holding various roles including Senior Vice President - Horizons Architecture, Team Lead - Architecture, and Lead Technical Architect. At Confirmit, they led the development of infrastructure based on Kubernetes, initiated the transition from monolith to Microservices, and established best practices for automated testing. Before joining Confirmit, Jan worked as a Consultant for their own business from 1995 to 2007. Jan also gained experience as a Senior System Developer at FIRM ASA, Architect/Senior Consultant at Creuna, Adcore, and Interaction Design, and as a System Developer at Nera SatCom AS. Jan has a strong background in developing software solutions, leading teams, and implementing cutting-edge technologies.

Jan Lønsetteig obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Telematics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 1991 to 1993. Prior to that, they completed an Engineer degree in Telecommunication at Oslo and Akershus University College from 1988 to 1991.
