Marius Nyquist Pedersen

Marius Nyquist Pedersen is a researcher at Forsvarets forskningsinstitutt (FFI) in the Total Defence department since May 2021. Prior to this role, Marius served as a substitute teacher in Fredrikstad kommune from October 2020 to February 2021 and worked as a political analyst for Young Diplomats, focusing on international politics and security from May 2019 to June 2020. Marius also gained experience as a political reporter for the International Women's Initiative, analyzing women's rights in Northern Europe, and as a startup scout for Startup Sesame, recruiting startups and ecosystem partners. Previous work includes summer employment at Nortura over five years. Marius holds a Master of Arts in International Security from Sciences Po and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Essex, complemented by an IB Diploma from Frederik II High School. Core research interests focus on international and regional security, conflict, and grand strategy.
