David Sullivan began their career in 2000 as a Product Manager at Rockwell Automation. In this role, they were responsible for portfolio strategy, product roadmaps, product life cycle management, pricing, voice of the customer and product marketing of electronic programmable machine safety systems. David also served as the marketing lead for multiple Partner based product developments. In 2007, they were promoted to Senior Product Manager, where they were responsible for the progressive expansion in breadth of portfolio leadership and ownership, focusing on portfolio strategy, product roadmaps, product life cycle management, pricing and product marketing of electronic programmable SIL2/SIL3 machine and process safety systems, including SIS. In this role, they achieved portfolio revenue growth at double digit rates, exceeding $100M in annual revenue. In 2020, they were promoted to Functional Safety Release Stream Lead, where they led cross-functional teams focusing on strategy, innovation and expansion of technical capabilities, across a broad array of functional safety products and automation solutions portfolios. In 2021, they joined FORT Robotics as a Principal Product Manager, where they focus on innovation, strategy and growth of safety and security technologies, portfolios and platforms. David is also the organizational lead responsible for research and supporting functional safety compliance of solutions serving autonomous agriculture, mining, construction, warehouse and various other applications and related automation equipment.

David Sullivan holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Optics from Kettering University. David also has several certifications, including a Safe Agile Product Leader and Certified Safe 4 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc. obtained in May 2018, an ISA 84 SIS Fundamentals Specialist from ISA obtained in 2013, a Pragmatic Product Marketing from Pragmatic Institute obtained in May 2010, and a Functional Safety Engineer from TÜV Rheinland AG obtained in 2011.
