Mathias Opland

Mathias Opland has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in different companies. Mathias currently works as a Data Scientist at Forte Digital since April 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Consultant at twoday Norway from October 2022 to April 2023. Mathias also worked as a Senior Consultant and Consultant at Visma from July 2022 to October 2022, and from September 2020 to July 2022, respectively. In these roles, they developed APIs using Python and Flask, and managed APIs for Renovasjonsetaten.

Previously, Mathias worked as a Summer Intern at Visma Consulting in 2019, where they focused on machine learning in Python and backend API development using Java/Spring Boot. Mathias also worked as a Developer and Summer Intern at Bymiljøetaten from August 2018 to April 2019, and from June 2018 to August 2018, respectively. In these positions, they worked on projects related to machine learning, artificial intelligence, and optimizing traffic flow.

Before that, Mathias served as a Tester at Kikora AS from an unspecified date to October 2017. Additionally, they worked as a Crew Leader at OverOslo from June 2012 to June 2017. During their military service with the Norwegian Armed Forces from August 2014 to July 2015, they held the role of Team Leader in the Teletroppen, Sambandsbataljonen, where they were responsible for providing TADKOM and radio support for Brigade Nord.

Mathias Opland attended the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2015 to 2020. Mathias obtained a degree in Industrial Mathematics, specifically a Sivilingeniør degree. In addition to their university education, Mathias Opland has obtained several certifications from Microsoft. In September 2020, they became a Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals. In April 2023, they achieved three more certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate.
