Christopher Romaine has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal field. Christopher began their career at Dow Lohnes PLLC, where they worked as an Associate from 2000 to 2002. Romaine then moved on to MBNA America Bank, NA, where they served as Counsel from 2002 to 2006. Following this, they joined Toyota Financial Services as Managing Counsel from 2006 to 2009. Romaine later joined Fortegra Financial Corporation as an Associate General Counsel from 2010 to 2011, where they provided advice on corporate and securities matters. Christopher then transitioned to Fortegra, taking on roles such as SVP, General Counsel & Secretary from 2011 to 2014, EVP, Chief Operating Officer from 2014 to 2016, and finally EVP and General Counsel from 2016 (current role). In these positions, Romaine has been responsible for various legal matters, including department management, securities, corporate governance, litigation, insurance regulatory, compliance, mergers & acquisitions, finance, contracts, and employment matters.
