Hamish Clarke

Principal Project Operations at Fortescue Metals

Hamish Clarke has extensive work experience in the construction industry. Hamish began their career in 2005 as an apprentice carpenter at BIGA Training. Hamish then worked as a carpenter at GD Pipelines, where they focused on pipeline construction operations.

In 2012, Hamish joined Watpac as a site engineer, working on the delivery of the Landsborough Highway upgrade. Hamish then worked as a site engineer at All Roads Civil, where they were responsible for contract administration, quantity surveying, pricing, and tendering.

Hamish also worked as an estimator at Sekisui House Australia and as a construction manager at Flexjoint Technical Services Pty Ltd. Hamish gained experience as a site supervisor at Blackwood Projects, overseeing government, council, and commercial projects.

In 2014, Hamish became the director of HAMRD Constructions, a Brisbane-based building and construction company. Hamish'sresponsibilities included estimating, tendering, site management, administration, and contracts administration. Hamish also served as a construction superintendent for Linzen Property Group.

Before joining Fortescue in 2023 as a Principal Project Operations, Hamish's most recent position was as a project manager at Cook Brothers Construction (CBC).

Throughout their career, Hamish has demonstrated skills in project operations, project management, construction supervision, and estimating. Hamish has experience in both residential and commercial construction, and they are knowledgeable in EH&S practices.

Hamish Clarke completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from The University of Queensland from 2015 to 2018. Before that, they attended Bond University from 2012 to 2013 and obtained a Masters of Construction Practice degree. In 1999 to 2003, they completed their high school education and earned a High School Diploma from Brisbane Boys' College. Additionally, in 2014, they received Advanced Excel and Visual Basic Application Training from New Horizons Training.
