James Leach, CISSP, PMP, CCP, CCSK has over 22 years of professional experience in the IT security industry. Their current role is Managing Principal and Co-founder of Fortreum, a role they have held since 2021. Prior to this, they were a Consultant from 2020 to 2021. From 2016 to 2020, they were the Vice President of Global Accounts at Coalfire, where they were responsible for strategic partnerships and specialized in regulatory in the cloud (Public Sector, Financial and Healthcare) and Security by Design - Reference architectures. From 2009 to 2016, they held various roles at Veris Group, LLC dba Coalfire Federal including Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, Director of Civilian Programs and Senior Project Manager. From 2008 to 2009, they were a Senior Project Manager at EmeSec Incorporated. From 2007 to 2008, they were a Security Engineer at G&B Solutions, Inc. and from 2003 to 2007, they were a Senior Security Engineer at Savvis Federal Systems. From 1999 to 2003, they were an SMC Engineer at Intira Corporation.

James Leach has attended Liberty University and holds certifications from the Cloud Security Alliance, LinkedIn, Amazon Web Services (AWS), (ISC)², and the Project Management Institute. These certifications include the Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) obtained in 2021, Amazon Web Services: Design and Implement Systems obtained in 2019, Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner obtained in 2021, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and Project Management Professional (PMP).
