Julia Shashurina

Julia Shashurina has extensive experience in tax and financial compliance. Julia started their career in small and medium size retail and production companies as an Accountant and eventually became the Chief Accountant. In 2003, they joined Ford Motor Company as a Tax & Reporting Supervisor. Since 2009, they have been working at Fortum, holding various roles including Tax Manager, Senior Manager, and Director in financial tax compliance and planning. Their experience includes managing tax operations in Russia, M&A compliance, and corporate tax reporting.

Julia Shashurina obtained a BSc in economics and management science (honors degree) with a focus on Accounting and Finance from the National mineral resources university (University of mines) in the years 1986 to 2001. Additionally, they have acquired various certifications throughout the years, including an Advanced Professional Certificate of International Taxation (APCIT) from IBFD in 2021, a certification in Tax matters related to M&A transactions from IBFD in 2016, a certification in Corporate tax accounting and reporting from IBFD in 2014, a DipIFR certification from ACCA in 2010, and a certificate of Professional Accountant (Russia) from IPBR in 2006.
