Stevie Chekete

Stevie Chekete, CPA, CMA has a diverse and extensive work experience. Beginning in 2005 as an Investment Projects Trainee at EDF, Stevie then moved on to various roles at SNC-Lavalin, including Senior Project Accountant, Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, Financial Controls Analyst, and Budget and Forecast Analyst. In 2014, Stevie joined CAE as a Consultant before transitioning to Roxgold Inc. as a Senior Financial Analyst and later progressing to Supervisor Financial Planning and Analysis, Manager Financial Planning and Analysis, and Director of Finance. Currently, Stevie is working at Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. as the Head of Finance West Africa. Throughout their roles, Stevie has demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, analyzing financial data, managing projects, and coordinating with various stakeholders.

Stevie Chekete, CPA, CMA holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Accounting from HEC Montréal, which was completed from 2003 to 2007. In 2010, Stevie pursued a Strategic Leadership Program in Management Accounting, offered by Ordre des CPA du Québec. Additionally, Stevie obtained the Certified Management Accountant (CPA, CMA) certification from Ordre des CPA du Québec in 2011.
