Victor Barriguete Cuesta

Victor Barriguete Cuesta has a diverse and extensive work experience in financial planning, analysis, and management. Victor started their career at GCC in 2003, where they served as the Investor Relations and Debt Manager until 2010.

Afterward, Victor joined Grupo Bafar as the Strategic Planning and Mergers & Acquisitions Manager from an undisclosed date until 2012.

Following that, they joined Newmont Corporation in 2012, where they held various roles, including Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, Internal Audit Manager, and Financial Planning, Capital Management, and Principal Advisor to the Regional Vice President. In their role at Newmont, they were responsible for preparing annual business plans, budgets, and forecasts, as well as developing financial models and providing support to mine operations and projects.

Currently, Victor is the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at Fortuna Silver Mines, starting in 2023.

Victor Barriguete Cuesta completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, General from the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey from 2010 to 2012. In 1999 to 2003, they obtained a Finance Degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey. Additionally, in 2016, they completed a program on Accelerating Change Readiness and Agility from the University of California, Berkeley. In 2017, they attended the MIT Sloan School of Management for a program on Leading Through Financial Excellence.
