Michelle Baxter

Michelle Baxter has a diverse work experience in tax planning and law. Michelle started their career as an Attorney at the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service. Michelle then worked as an Attorney in the Transaction Advisory Services Group at E & Y. After that, they served as a Tax Attorney at Freeborn & Peters LLP. Michelle then joined The Hearst Corporation as a Tax Counsel before moving on to Fortune Brands Home & Security, where they held roles as Director of Tax Planning & International Tax and currently serves as Senior Director of Tax Planning & Audit Controversy (International, Federal and State).

Michelle Baxter earned a B.A. degree from Augustana College in 1995. Michelle then pursued a J.D. degree from DePaul University College of Law from 1998 to 2001. Later, they obtained an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center between 2003 and 2006.
