Maryam Banikarim

Maryam Banikarim currently serves as the Managing Director for Fortune Media's Most Powerful Women and Brainstorm Tech franchises, a role appointed in March 2024. As Co-Founder of MaryamB since June 2022, Banikarim leads a collective focused on inspiring community engagement and positive change in New York City. In addition to serving on the Board of Trustees at Barnard College, Banikarim is a Co-Founder of NYCNext, an Executive Advisor at Cove Hill Partners, and has held prominent marketing roles at Nextdoor and Samsung Electronics America. Banikarim's extensive experience includes previous positions as Global CMO at Hyatt Hotels Corporation and SVP & CMO at Gannett Corp Inc. Banikarim holds an MBA and MIA from Columbia University and a BA in Political Science from Barnard College.
