Swapna Potluri has held a variety of roles in the tech industry. Swapna started as a Research Assistant at University of Michigan in 2012, where they co-authored a paper on secure integration of mobile devices with vehicular networks, proposed a low-cost diagnostic and intrusion detection mechanism for vehicular networks, and developed custom software modules in Android. Swapna then joined Qualcomm in 2013 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they built a custom media player from the ground up to demo Qualcomm's proprietary 3D audio codec at trade shows, and optimized the codec by 56% to run real-time on mobile devices. In 2016, they joined Amazon as a Software Engineer II and was a founding member and lead mobile engineer who built and launched the Amazon Key iOS app. Swapna contributed to 30% of the code base and designed and implemented app foundation blocks. Swapna was then promoted to Sr. Product Manager in 2019, where they led the product organization for Amazon Key for Business. In 2020, they joined Forward as a Product Manager.
Swapna Potluri has an education history that includes a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the University of Michigan (2011-2013). Swapna also attended Stanford Continuing Studies for two courses, Principles of Product/Market Fit (BUS213) in 2018 and Product Innovation Through Design Thinking (BUS 131) in 2017. Swapna holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Osmania University. Currently, they are enrolled in Reforge's Product Leadership program.
