Robin Carlin has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Starting in 1999, they worked as an Adjunct Faculty and Program Manager at Ohio University until 2006. From 2003 to 2015, at the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission, they held positions as the Director of Human Resources and later as the Deputy Executive Director/Chief of Staff. During this time, they were responsible for various functions including Human Resources, Technology, Safety Services, and Office Services. They also played a key role in negotiating labor agreements and leading strategic planning initiatives.
In 2015, Robin Carlin joined the Ohio Veterans Home as the Superintendent/Deputy Executive Director. They successfully improved the operations and set the strategic direction for two Ohio Veterans Homes, managing a large team and budget.
In 2017, they founded Rustbelt HR and served as the Owner and Principal Consultant until 2019. In this role, they provided HR consulting services to clients.
Currently, Robin Carlin is the Vice President of Global Human Resources at Fosbel Inc. since 2018. They oversee HR functions for multiple global business units, ensuring top talent, managing compensation and benefits, performance, training, and compliance with labor and employment laws.
Robin Carlin earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a focus on Human Resources and Public Administration from Ohio University. This educational achievement took place from 1998 to 2000. In addition to their degree, they obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification in March 2019 from the HRCI. They also obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resource Management (SPHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) in March 2016.
