Michael Russom

Michael Russom is a seasoned finance and operations executive with extensive experience in educational and nonprofit organizations. Since August 2022, Michael has served as the Vice President of Finance and Operations at Foster America. Prior to this role, from May 2018 to June 2022, Michael was the Chief of Staff at Communities In Schools of Memphis, overseeing the implementation of the organization's strategic vision and managing resources for nearly 800 families through a team of 38 staff members. In earlier positions, Michael established a culture of excellence as Chief Operating Officer at Communities In Schools of Memphis and managed school operations as the Managing Director of School Operations at KIPP Memphis Public Schools from June 2015 to May 2018. Michael holds a Master of Arts degree from Belmont University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication with a focus on Journalism and Electronic Media from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
