Monica Ly is an experienced urban planning professional with a diverse background in planning and community engagement. Currently serving as an Associate Planner and previously as an Assistant Planner at the City of Foster City since March 2017, Monica has effectively collaborated with various stakeholders to enhance communications infrastructure and transportation services. Prior roles include Planning Intern at the City of Emeryville and Infrastructure Planning Intern at the City of Berkeley, where efforts focused on improving community access and services. Additionally, as a USC Sea Grant Fellow, Monica contributed to building resilient communities through education and adaptation planning. Early career experiences include roles as a Training Counselor at WAPADH, a Healthcare Recruiter at UNI, and an Instructional Assistant at Paramount Unified School District. Monica holds a Master of Planning and a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from California State University, Fullerton.
