Prabhath Silva, P.E., CASp has had a diverse and extensive work experience. Prabhath started their career as a Project Engineer at Design Consortium Ltd in 1994. Prabhath then worked as an Additional Executive Engineer at Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council in Sri Lanka from 1996 to 2000, and later as an Executive Engineer in the same organization from 2000 to 2003. In 2004, they joined Morillo Construction as a Project Engineer. From 2006 to 2013, they worked as a Plan Review Engineer at West Coast Code Consultants, Inc. and Bureau Veritas / LP2A. Prabhath then transitioned to the public sector, serving as a Plan Check Engineer at the City of San Jose from 2013 to 2014, and at the City of Walnut Creek from 2014 to 2019. Currently, they are the President of Hospital Services Support Foundation. Starting in 2023, they will take on the role of Chief Building Official at the City of Foster City.

Prabhath Silva, P.E., CASp has a comprehensive education history. Prabhath commenced their academic journey at the University of Moratuwa in 1990, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) in Civil Engineering. This program lasted from 1990 to 1994. Concurrently, they also attained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Civil Engineering from the same university during the same period.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Prabhath Silva pursued further specialization in their field by enrolling at the University of Moratuwa for a Post Graduate Diploma in Construction Project Management. Prabhath successfully completed this program from 1995 to 1996.

Seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in Civil Engineering, particularly in the field of Structural Engineering, Prabhath Silva joined San Jose State University in 2010. At this institution, they attained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering. This program spanned from 2010 to 2012.

By following a well-rounded educational path, Prabhath Silva has equipped himself with the necessary qualifications and expertise in the field of Civil Engineering, focusing on structural engineering and construction project management.
