Terry Welker Faia

Terry Welker FAIA, born in 1955, is an accomplished architect and sculptor based in Kettering, Ohio. With a career in architecture spanning several decades, Terry founded Welker Studio in 1982 and has served as Chief Building Official for the City of Kettering since 2000, also fulfilling duties for the City of Oakwood as the Certified Master Plans Examiner. Previous roles include President of Archetype Inc., Architect at App Architecture and Woolpert, and Assoc. Professor of Architecture at the University of Cincinnati. Terry holds a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati, as well as associate degrees in Architecture and Civil Engineering from Sinclair Community College. Additionally, early education in Fine Art was pursued at Wright State University.
