Jane Samuels has a diverse background in equity, diversity, and inclusion roles within various organizations. Jane'smost recent position is as the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Lead at Foster + Partners, which they started in June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Inclusive Design Consultant at the National Portrait Gallery, starting in January 2022. Jane also held the role of Cultural Inclusion Lead at the Natural History Museum from June 2020 to June 2022, and before that, they were the Access & Inclusion Manager at the same institution from October 2015 to June 2020. In 2019, they served as a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Consultant at the Courtauld Institute of Art, U. of London, concluding their work there in November 2021. Jane has also worked as an Inclusive Design Consultant at Nissen Richards Studio from October 2018 to January 2019, and as an Access and Equality Manager at The British Museum from July 2003 to October 2015. Additionally, Jane has experience as a Guest Lecturer at UCL Institute of Education, University College London from October 2005 to May 2015, and as an Access & Inclusion Consultant at Houses of Parliament from August 2011 to February 2012. Jane started their career as an Access Consultant at Sadler's Wells in November 2005, ending in March 2006.

Jane Samuels has a diverse education history. Jane attended the Clore Leadership Programme in 2014, where they studied Thought Leadership. Jane also pursued a Master's degree in Museology/Museum Studies at IOE - UCL's Faculty of Education and Society. In addition, they have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from the University of Bradford. Prior to that, they studied Painting, Politics, and Philosophy at Central Connecticut State University and Creative Arts at Nottingham Trent University.
