Isaac Harris

Isaac Harris serves as a National Security Fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) since February 2023 and holds the position of China Political Military Advisor at the Pentagon, focusing on technology and economic policy. With a career in the US Navy starting in November 2002, Harris has held various leadership roles, including Commanding Officer of the USS RAMAGE and Executive Officer, as well as serving as the China Desk Officer for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Harris's experience includes directing a significant Navy-wide war game analyzing force planning related to conflicts with China and managing complex interagency tasks on defense technologies. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Policy from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Florida.
