David Carmel serves as the Chief Growth and Innovation Officer at the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health, leading fundraising and strategic initiatives, having raised over $100 million to support the organization's mission. David is also a Board Member of the New York State Life Science Advisory Board, appointed by Governor Andrew Cuomo to promote the life science industry in New York. Previous roles include Senior Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications at eGenesis, Inc., where David led a $125 million financing round, and Vice President at Atara Biotherapeutics, overseeing licensing and strategic collaborations. David launched Carmel Asset Management, growing the investment fund to $100 million, and has held significant roles at StemCyte and Pfizer, among others. An alumnus of Stanford University Graduate School of Business and Harvard University, David is also a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute.
