Jamey Friel

Jamey Friel has extensive experience in supply chain management and finance. Jamey is currently the Head of Global Supply Chain & Materials Manufacturing at Foundation Medicine since May 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Roche where they held various roles including Global Head of Finance for Supply Chain, Product Strategy and External Manufacturing, Global Head of Technical Product Management Finance, Global Product Supply Chain Owner, and Head of Supply Chain & Procurement. Before joining Roche, Friel worked at Genentech as the Head of Materials Operations and Logistics and Manager of Manufacturing Upstream Biologics. Jamey also has a background in the US Army, where they held roles such as Head of Supply Management and Maintenance, Infantry Company Executive Officer, Battalion Scout Platoon Leader, and Mechanized Infantry Rifle Platoon Leader.

Jamey Friel attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, where they studied General Engineering with a focus on Spanish and German from 1995 to 1999. In 1997, they also participated in a Military Academy Exchange Program at the United States Air Force Academy, studying Languages and Engineering for one year. In 2008, Jamey pursued further education at the USC Marshall School of Business, earning a Master of Business Administration degree from 2008 to 2010. In 2014, Jamey obtained a certification in CPIM from the APICS Supply Chain Council.
