Jared Bancroft

Jared Bancroft has extensive work experience in the field of information technology and biomedical research. Jared is currently serving as the Associate Director of Cloud Solutions and Architecture at Foundation Medicine since 2021. In 2023, Jared will be the Founder and President of the TRPM3 Foundation.

Before joining Foundation Medicine, Jared worked at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard from 2016 to 2021. During their tenure, they held various roles including Director of IT Engineering/Chief IT Product Owner, Associate Director of IT Engineering, and Manager of IT Engineering. Their responsibilities included managing the IT engineering team, infrastructure automation, and network architecture for a biomedical research organization.

Prior to their work at the Broad Institute, Jared served as the Director of Information Technology at Boston University's College of Engineering. Jared managed IT operations, led a team of employees providing end-user services, and oversaw the development of software and systems projects. Before that, Jared held roles as an IT Project Manager and Manager of Business Systems and Applications at Boston University.

Jared's earlier experience includes working as a Systems Support Specialist at Boston University and as a Bioengineer Medical Research Assistant at Hebrew SeniorLife. In these roles, they were responsible for troubleshooting and support, collection and analysis of research data, and development of custom software tools.

Jared Bancroft holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Information Systems/IT Project Management from Boston University, which they obtained from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical Engineering from the same university, spanning from 2002 to 2006. Additionally, Jared holds several certifications such as Certified Scrum@Scale Practitioner from Scrum@Scale (obtained in May 2019), Certified Scrum Product Owner from Scrum Alliance (obtained in March 2018), Licensed Scrum Master from Scrum, Inc. (obtained in 2017), and ITIL Foundation from AXELOS Global Best Practice (obtained in 2017).
