Julie Jay has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Julie started their career as a Secondary Math Instructor at Kayenta Unified School District before transitioning to the field of research. Julie worked as an R&D Chemist at Diffraction Ltd, where they played a key role in government contract proposals and the development of optical biosensors. Julie then joined the University of Utah as a Graduate Research Associate, focusing on research projects. Julie later became an Associate Director at the Utah-Inha DDS & Advanced Therapeutics Research Center, where they facilitated collaborative research projects and created independent research initiatives. Julie then moved into the healthcare industry, working at Ventana Medical Systems, a member of the Roche group, as a Senior Scientist and International Product Manager. Julie continued their career at Roche Sequencing Solutions as a Senior International Product Manager and at Roche Diagnostic Solutions as a Director, Project Leader. Julie currently holds the position of Director, Biopharma Assay Product Lead at Foundation Medicine. Throughout their career, Julie has demonstrated a strong aptitude for research, project management, and product development.
Julie Jay earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Colorado Mesa University, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Subsequently, they attended the University of Utah, completing their education with a PhD in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from 2004 to 2009.
