Matt Ducar

Principal Scientist, Genomic Platform Initiatives at Foundation Medicine

Matt Ducar has extensive experience in the field of bioinformatics, with a focus on genomic platform initiatives. Matt currently holds the position of Principal Scientist at Foundation Medicine, where they started in July 2019. Prior to this, Matt worked at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where they held various positions including Associate Director of Computational Bioinformatics and Group Leader of Clinical Bioinformatics. Matt also worked as a Senior Bioinformatics Developer at IntelligentMDx and as a Software Developer at CodonCode Corporation. Matt began their career as an Assistant Scientist at Dyax and Athersys.

Matt Ducar attended St. Louis University High from 1990 to 1994. Matt then pursued higher education at Case Western Reserve University from 1994 to 1998, where they did not obtain a degree. Later, from 2005 to 2008, Matt completed a Master's degree in Computer Science at Boston University.
