Vera Grossmann

Vera Grossmann has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of molecular biology and laboratory operations. Vera has held various roles in different companies and institutions.

Starting in 2008, they worked as a Diploma Student at the Division für Humangenetik, Medizinische Universität Innsbruck. From 2009 to 2013, they worked as a Molecular Biologist at MLL Münchner Leukämie Labor GmbH. In 2013, they became the Head of Biomolecular and Genetic Laboratory at Klinische Epidemiologie, Universitätsmedizin Mainz.

In 2015, they joined Bioscientia as a Molecular Biologist in the Molecular Leukemia Diagnostic Unit. In 2017, they moved to Foundation Medicine as the Laboratory Director of FMI Germany GmbH. Vera then progressed to become the Senior Director of International Laboratory Operations in 2018, and eventually became the VP of International Operations & Managing Director of Foundation Medicine GmbH in 2019, their current role.

Vera Grossmann completed their education in a chronological order. Vera started their academic journey in 2004 at Universität Innsbruck, where they pursued a Bachelor of Biology degree in Molekularbiologie, which they completed in 2008. Following this, from 2008 to 2009, they continued their studies at the same institution and earned a Master of Biology degree, specializing in Molekularbiologie. Vera then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molekularbiologie at Universität Innsbruck from 2009 to 2012. Lastly, they attended Munich Business School from 2011 to 2014 and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in MBA Health Care Management.
