Vladi Juric

Vladi Juric has had an extensive work experience in the field of biology. Starting in 2002 as a PhD student at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Vladi studied the regulation of cytokine-induced apoptosis and tissue injury/repair. During this time, they established the role of CCN1 in sensitizing cells to TNFa- and Fas ligand-induced apoptosis and to TNFa-mediated tissue injury, identifying novel targets for treatment.

Following their PhD, Vladi worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, San Francisco from 2010 to 2015.

In 2015, Vladi joined Gilead Sciences as a Research Scientist I, where they worked until 2019.

After that, Vladi moved to Pionyr Immunotherapeutics. Vladi held multiple roles at the company, including Senior Scientist I from 2019 to 2020, Senior Scientist II from 2020 to 2021, Associate Director of Early Discovery Biology from 2021 to 2022, and Director of Early Discovery Biology from 2022 to the present.

Currently, Vladi is the Senior Director of Biology at Foundery Innovations, Inc., a position they have held since 2022.

Vladi Juric completed a Bachelor's Degree in Molecular Biology and Physiology from the University of Belgrade, which they attended from 1995 to 2001. Continuing their education, they obtained a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics from the University of Illinois Chicago, where they studied from 2002 to 2009.
