Ian Finnerty, CFP® CIMA®

Ian Finnerty, CFP® CIMA® has been in the financial services industry since 2012. In 2012, they were a Professional Ice Hockey Player for the Mississippi RiverKings. In 2013, they became an Annuity Brokerage Manager for American Brokerage Services. In 2016, they joined Hartford Funds as an Investment Specialist and Internal Advisor Consultant, Team Lead. In 2021, they were appointed Director, Advisor Sales for FP Alpha. In this role, they conducted investment reviews with financial advisors, investment consultants, record-keepers, RIA’s and retirement plan focused advisors. Ian also worked closely with field business development teams helping drive the organizational sales efforts with a specific focus on portfolio construction. Additionally, they served as a point of contact for internal and external audiences for subject matter on all Hartford Funds, competition, capital market and asset allocation trends.

Ian Finnerty, CFP® CIMA® obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in School of Business Administration and Economics from SUNY Brockport. Ian also holds the Certified Financial Planner\u2122 (CFP\u00ae) certification from the CFP Board, the Certified Investment Management Analyst\u00ae (CIMA\u00ae) certification from the Investments & Wealth Institute, the Series 66 certification from NASAA, and the Series 7 certification from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
