Kari Foss-Persson

Kari Foss-Persson has extensive work experience in the field of immigration and global mobility. Kari has worked at Fragomen since 2016, starting as an Attorney at Law and eventually becoming a Senior Manager in December 2022. During their time at Fragomen, they managed various teams and provided advisory and transactional support on immigration and global mobility matters. Kari also played a role in team management, HR functions, and business development.

In 2019, Kari briefly worked at KPMG Law as a Manager in Global Immigration Services. In this role, they managed global teams and provided advisory support for clients in the global mobility sector. Kari also supported projects and business development planning for clients working with multiple vendors.

Prior to their work in immigration, Kari gained experience as a German Chancellor Fellow at the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation from 2014 to 2015. Kari also worked as a Legal Assistant at Wheeler, Erickson, and Wheeler L.L.P and as a Legal Research Intern at the Department of Social Services.

Kari's early career includes positions as an Intern at the Office of US Senator Al Franken, where they worked on healthcare, LGBT rights, and military issues, and as a Law Student at the University of South Dakota Law School. Kari also served as a German Office Secretary at Concordia College and was elected as the Senior Class Representative.

Kari Foss-Persson completed a Bachelor of Arts in German and Political Science at Concordia College, from 2007 to 2011. Kari then pursued a Juris Doctor (J.D.) at The University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law, from 2011 to 2014. Additionally, they enrolled in a program at Friedrich Schiller University in 2009 and 2010, focusing on German and European Union Political Systems. In 2019, Kari began studying at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration - EMBA in 2020. Kari also earned an Executive MBA with a specialization in Global Mobility from the same institution in 2020.
