Ashraf Stakala

Ashraf Stakala is a product manager who has worked in the tech industry for over ten years. Ashraf has experience working in various companies, including SnapScan, Yoco, 24.com, Media24 (Pty) Ltd, and Cheka. In their current position at Franc, Ashraf is responsible for leading the product team and developing new products.

Ashraf’s experience in product management began at Tellumat (pty) Ltd, where they worked as an electronic technologist. Ashraf then went on to found Cheka, a startup that developed a mobile app for tracking expenses. After a few years, Ashraf joined Media24 (Pty) Ltd as a product manager. In this role, they were responsible for managing the development of new products and features. Ashraf then moved to 24.com, where they worked on improving the user experience of the website.

In 2018, Ashraf joined Yoco as a senior product manager. In this role, they were responsible for leading the development of new hardware products, including the Yoco Go and Yoco Neo card machines. Ashraf then moved to SnapScan in 2021, where they were responsible for leading the development of the SnapScan consumer app and its wallet and P2P payment products.
