Todd Hanna

Todd Hanna joined Francisco Partners Consulting in 2021 as a Senior Operating Advisor & Legal Counsel focused on legal function value creation, governance and compliance topics.

Prior to joining Francisco Partners Consulting, Todd most recently served as Vice President & General Counsel at Sovos, a PE-backed global tax and compliance software company. Todd supported the company’s doubling in revenue & employees through organic growth and 10 bolt-on acquisitions. He built a global legal function and developed robust legal KPIs to enhance and report department output, efficiency, and engagement. Todd supported a successful recapitalization in September 2020 led by Hg Capital and TA Associates.

Prior to Sovos, Todd spent 5 years at VCE, a division of EMC, in commercial and legal management roles focused on global multi-million-dollar hardware and software sales prior to Dell’s acquisition of EMC in 2016. Prior to that, Todd was General Counsel of Akibia, a PE-owned mid-size technology services company that was acquired by Zensar in 2010.

Todd has been named to the United States GC Powerlist by the Legal500 and as a Leader in the Law by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. He has been featured in Modern Counsel Magazine and New England In-House Newspaper and has authored several articles on legal department management published in Corporate Counsel magazine.
