Liz Buxton

Director of Operations of the Western Mass. Food Processing Center at Franklin County Community Development Corporation

Liz Buxton has a diverse work experience in the field of food services. From 2001 to 2009, they worked as the Director of Food Services at Bell Food Services. Following that, they joined the Mohawk Regional School System as the Director of Food and Nutrition Services from 2009 to 2013. Currently, Liz serves as the Director of Operations of the Western Mass. Food Processing Center at Franklin County Community Development Corporation, a position they have held since 2013.

Liz Buxton attended Springfield College from 1987 to 1989 and the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 1999 to 2001. Their degree and field of study are unknown. Additionally, Liz has obtained several certifications throughout their career. Liz completed the OSHA 30 Hour General Industry certification at The Richards Group - Financial, Insurance & HR Solutions in August 2020. In June 2020, they obtained the Seafood HACCP certification from The Association of Food and Drug Officials/Seafood HACCP Alliance. In September 2017, Liz completed the Juice HACCP certification at the Institute for Food Safety at Cornell University. Liz obtained the Better Process Control School certification from the Center for Agriculture, Food and the Environment at UMass Amherst in January 2014. Liz obtained the HACCP Plan Development certification from the International HACCP Alliance in December 2013. In September 2013, they completed the Lift Truck Operator certification from United Industrial. Liz also holds the Serv-Safe Manager certification from the National Restaurant Association, which they obtained in April 1995. There is one additional certification, FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food, for which the details of the institution, month, and year are not provided.
