Eric English

Eric English, CPA, CA, currently serves as Principal at the Accounting Standards Board (AcSB) since June 2023, focusing on maintaining high-quality accounting standards for Canadian reporting entities and engaging in outreach initiatives to educate stakeholders on financial reporting. Prior to this role, Eric was Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis at Liberty from May 2021 to January 2023, where responsibilities included managing complex forecasting processes and presenting financial insights to senior executives. Eric also held the position of Associate Director in Capital Markets Performance Management at RBC Capital Markets, overseeing forecasting and planning across multiple business units. Earlier experience includes a Senior Associate role at PricewaterhouseCoopers, leading assurance engagements, and co-presidency of the Laurier Accounting Association. Eric earned an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University.
