Virgil Hill -

Virgil Hill - MS has a diverse work experience in various educational institutions. Virgil started their career in 1994 as an Assistant Coach for Men's Basketball at Simon Fraser University. From there, they joined Laurentian University as the Head Coach for Men's Basketball in 2000. In 2007, they transitioned to Collingwood School, where they worked as a Senior Mathematics teacher, Strength & Conditioning teacher, and Varsity Basketball coach. In 2015, they returned to Simon Fraser University as the Head Coach for Men's Basketball. Currently, since 2017, they are the Director of Athletics and Head of the Physical Education department at Fraser Academy.

Virgil Hill has a Master of Science degree in Athletic Administration from Grace College & Seminary. Virgil also holds a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, as well as a Professional Development Program certificate in Education from the same institution. Virgil has a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University as well. Virgil has completed two certificate programs at Cornell University, one in Executive Leadership and another in Performance Leadership. Additionally, Virgil has obtained several certifications, including How to Talk to Anyone (Blinkist Summary) from LinkedIn, Digital Threat Assessment Basic Training from Safer Schools Together, and Violence Threat Risk Assessment Level 1 from The North American Center for Threat Assessment and Trauma Response (NACTATR). Virgil is also a Charter Professional Coach (CHPc) and has completed the National Coaching Certification Program level 3 through the Coaching Association of Canada. Finally, Virgil holds a Diploma in Independent School Leadership from the Canadian Accredited Independent Schools.
